From mega music festivals attracting thousands of young audiences to community arts programs spreading across social media, Hue is revealing a new face as a heritage city.

On the morning of June 8, the Department of Education and Training held a training conference on examination administration procedures for the 2026 National High School Graduation Examination for school administrators and teachers serving as heads and deputy heads of the examination centers, and secretaries from 37 examination venues across the city.

On June 3, at Ly Tu Trong Park in Thuan Hoa Ward, Hue City Department of Health, in coordination with the City’s Association for the Protection of Children’s Rights, the Social Work and Child Protection Center, together with various units, organizations, and benefactors, organized the “Festival for children in special circumstances 2026”. The event aimed to provide meaningful encouragement to hundreds of children in difficult circumstances across the city on the occasion of the Action Month for Children 2026.

On May 30, the 2026 Imperial City Scientific Conference on infectious diseases was held at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University. The event attracted nearly 250 delegates and almost 20 leading experts in infectious diseases, microbiology, and tropical diseases from across Vietnam.

While many primary school children in Vietnam are often occupied with their homework, extra classes, or exam preparation after school, children in many states across the United States, even those as young as 5, have opportunities to engage in business activities, financial management, and community fundraising beyond the classroom. From May 18 to 20, at the City Stadium, the Department of Education and Training, in coordination with the Department of Culture and Sports, organized the Athletics Championship for general education students in the city in 2026. The event took place on the occasion of the 136th birthday anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026), contributing to promoting physical training movements, improving health, and enhancing the quality of comprehensive education for students across the city.

On May 12th, the City Council for Coordination of Legal Dissemination and Education organized a conference to disseminate the Law on Protection of State Secrets and the Law on Digital Transformation to officials, civil servants, and public employees from departments, agencies, sectors, and localities across the city.

The “Surgical Patient Care” training course for nurses and midwives from across the hospital and related healthcare facilities is taking place from May 6 to 15. The program aims to update and standardize knowledge and skills in caring for surgical patients, while also enhancing the professional capacity of healthcare workers.
