I did not grow up in a family devoted solely to farming, yet my childhood held a clear and gentle chapter shaped by the cycles of rain and sun in my grandparents’ fields. Those years, and the memories they carry, have left a lasting mark, so that even now, I am stirred by an inexpressible emotion whenever I see farmers busily preparing for a new sowing season.

Thousands of visitors and residents of Hue came together to bid farewell to 2025 and welcome the New Year 2026 in exquisite weather, heaven and earth in harmony, clear skies with a slight winter chill. The Countdown program welcoming 2026, held at Hue City Cultural and Sports Square (Vy Da Ward), was regarded as the highlight of this meaningful moment, a venue where a grand musical feast and joyful reunions converged.

On the morning of December 29, the Macaulay2 Winter School officially opened at the University of Education, Hue University.

Hue starts entering winter, beginning a series of long and wet rainy days. But truly, if tourists could “embrace” this Hue’s weather, they will not only fully experience all the senses with the specialty of Hue rain, but can also feel Hue more vivid and authentical in its profound and peaceful space.

One early morning, when opening the door, and you feel a cold breath rush across your face, that is when Hue starts entering winter. Before winter set in, the city endured consecutive, devastating floods; and, in that cold air, there still lingers the smell of fresh mud and the traces of things not yet put back in order.

On the evening of November 22, the Provincial Department of Tourism organized the opening ceremony for the “Wellness Tourism Week” 2024. This event is part of the Winter Festival - “Winter in Hue” (taking place from October to December) of Hue Festival 2024.

“Just one rain in Hue makes it be winter” is how Minh Tu, the journalist, borrowed the ancients to describe Hue rain in the long-running series titled “The awaited rains” in Tuoi Tre newspaper. It could also because the rains always bring a sense of melancholy to Hue, even the rains in the middle of summer days.

Hue is not only antique and peaceful but also tenderer on late winter days

This is the season of winter days with early-coming northeast wind, fine weather, and light sunshine. This is also the season overflowing with emotions for photographers and writers, etc.

As a part of a series of activities and events of the Winter Festival within the Four Season Festival - Hue Festival 2023, on the evening of December 15th, the Department of Tourism organized the opening ceremony of the “Wellness Tourism Week” event. Attending the opening ceremony was Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
