On the evening of July 25th, at Thuong Bac Park, the Department of Tourism, in collaboration with partner organizations, staged the "Bun bo Hue - The Legend of Van Cu and Huong Ngu Symphony" performance, a signature event of Hue - Culinary Capital 2026 program. The event was attended by Mr. Tran Huu Thuy Giang, Member of the City Party Committee and Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee.

Recently, a cultural event that drew significant attention from the young people in Hue was the appearance of 26-year-old singer Nguyen Viet Hoang, better known by his stage name Mono. He is the younger brother of renowned singer Son Tung M-TP. The artist came to Hue to perform and chose Hue Imperial Citadel as the venue for the official launch of his new music video, Cong Tu Van Tho (The Literary Gentleman).

Amid the rapidly changing pace of modern life, in the ethnic minority communities of Hue City, traditional culture continues to be quietly revived and preserved. This is part of an ongoing effort to restore the distinctive cultural values of the Bru–Van Kieu people.

On June 24, Hue City Women’s Union, in coordination with the city’s Forest Protection Department, the Global Environment Facility (GEF), the Small Grants Programme (SGP), and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), organized the program “The Cultural Colors of the Bru - Van Kieu People” in Phuc Loc Village, Hung Loc Commune.

After graduating with a law degree and working in Hanoi for some time, Ho Thuong Liu (born in 1993) decided to return to A Luoi 1 Commune to start his own business. Drawing on the A Lin Stream that was part of his childhood, he developed a community-based tourism model centered on stilt houses, local cuisine, and the cultural traditions of the Bru - Van Kieu people. From a once-pristine and lesser-known destination, A Lin Stream has gradually attracted visitors, contributing to the livelihoods of local residents in the highlands.

On the morning of June 7, the Chan May - Lang Co running race officially took place at the Nguyen Van Pedestrian Street along An Cu Lagoon (Lap An Lagoon).

At a workshop themed “Hoanh Son Quan – Ngang Pass: Historical and cultural issues” organized by Ha Tinh Historical Science Association and the People’s Committee of Hoanh Son Ward on the morning of May 21, delegates agreed that experiences of conservation and value promotion from the Hai Van Quan relic site in Hue City could be applied to Hoanh Son Quan.

On the occasion of the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2026), on April 29, under authorization, Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee Nguyen Van Manh visited and presented gifts from General Secretary and President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam To Lam to meritorious beneficiaries currently being cared for at Hue City Center for Nursing and Care for People with Meritorious Service.

On the morning of April 25th, at Dang Van Ngu Secondary School, the Zhi Shan Foundation, in coordination with the People’s Committee of An Cuu Ward, held a ceremony to inaugurate two “friendly libraries” and hand over bookcases to local schools.

Artisan of lacquer and gilding Bui Van Trinh has recently been honored with the title of Meritorious Artisan, awarded by the President, marking more than thirty-five years of dedication to preserving national cultural heritage in the field of handicrafts. Yet, for him, the greatest joy has always been the moment of contemplating a completed work, shimmering with lacquer and gold under his own hands.
