On December 10, the Provincial Department of Tourism coordinated with Hue Monuments Conservation Center and related units to welcome a group of international cruise passengers on the Diamond Princess high-grade cruise to visit Hue ancient capital.

As the Department of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced, on November 18th, Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Mr. Dinh Toan Thang, Vietnamese Ambassador to France, Ms. Le Thi Hong Van, Head of the Permanent Delegation of Vietnam to United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Ms. Le Thi Thu Hien, Director General of the Department of Cultural Heritage, together with representatives from Ministry of Public Security (Vietnam), the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France, and UNESCO, witnessed the transfer ceremony of the ‘Emperor’s Treasure’ golden seal to Vietnam on the afternoon of November 16th at the Vietnamese Embassy in France.

That was what Ms. Aler Grubbs, Director of The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Vietnam, affirmed in a courtesy meeting with the Vice Permanent Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh on the afternoon of September 13.

Within the framework of cooperation between Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, Operation International (OI), the United States, and Design Capital Asia (DCA), doctors would perform surgeries for patients with cleft lip and cleft palate from September 11 to 15.

That the preservation warehouse and the display system are all reused from the renovated old building, so it is not suitable for the museum's function, and although the equipment has been invested, it still does not meet the requirements of preserving artifacts. Those are the situation that Hue Fine Arts Museum - a public museum established nearly 5 years ago, is facing. The concern for the safety of the artifacts and the desire to have a well-preserved warehouse are always the concerns of the unit's leaders.

According to the Plant Protection Department under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD), on August 8, 2023, the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) under the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has just sent a letter to this agency to inform about the opening of the United States (US) market for Vietnamese fresh coconuts.

Along with the departure of a direct flight from Hue to South Korea, on August 1, the Provincial Department of Tourism coordinated with Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company, SMC Hue Co., Ltd (South Korea), Phu Bai International Airport; the Provincial Tourism Association, and related units to welcome the first direct flight, connecting Thua Thien Hue with Seoul City (South Korea). This is also the first flight from Incheon International Airport (South Korea) to the new terminal of Phu Bai International Airport.

While the article about the book "Echoes of the Truong Son" (Thuan Hoa Publishing House, 2023) was being prepared when I included it in the collection of essays "Life's Many Paths" (Writers Association Publishing House, 2023), from Ho Chi Minh City, Mrs. Dam Thu continuously sent touching feedback to Hue about the work that she had just "poured her efforts" into completing.

On July 7, leaders of the Project Management Board on Improving Hue City Water Environment informed that the unit has started implementing the construction of the walking path along the Nhu Y River (Hue City) through the capital of nearly 260 billion VND sponsored by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
