When the theme for World Tourism Day (September 27, 2025) was chosen as “Tourism and sustainable transformation”, many people immediately thought of Hue’s approach to tourism. In its development orientation, Hue tourism consistently focuses on promoting sustainable transformation, especially transitioning to green, sustainable tourism, adapting to climate change.

That was the message shared by Mr. Phan Quy Phuong, Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee, at the seminar themed “Green Transition and Strategy to Attract Industrial Investment in Hue City”, co-organized on September 19th by Tuoi Tre Newspaper, the Packaging Recycling Alliance Vietnam (PRO Vietnam), and Hue City People’s Committee. Attending the seminar was Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the Hue City People’s Committee.

Unable to rely solely on love for the craft or pride in the past, Hue’s craft villages must step beyond traditional pathways toward a new journey: Transforming production thinking, applying technology, embracing green transition, elevating quality, and telling cultural stories in more modern ways.

This was the theme of the 2025 National Scientific Lighting Conference organized by the Vietnam Lighting Association in Hue on the morning of May 30.

After the country was reunified, the Pioneering Youth force transitioned to a new mission: overcoming the consequences of war and contributing to economic development. In response to the revolutionary call at that time, Binh Tri Thien Province and Hue City established two Pioneering Youth regiments tasked with surveying, building roads, clearing land, and constructing homes to welcome thousands of families from Hue to settle in the southern regions and establish new Hue communities far from home. The green transition plays a crucial role, not only bringing economic benefits but also ensuring sustainability in daily life. This is particularly significant as Vietnam aims to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.

On February 10th, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong - Deputy Secretary of Hue Party Committee and Chairman of Hue People's Committee, held an online meeting with Ms. Le Thi Thu Thuy, an authorized representative of Vingroup.

On the morning of February 8th (the 11th day of At Ty Lunar New Year, 2025), Trieu Son Dong Village council, in collaboration with Trieu Son Dong neighbourhood group (Huong Vinh Ward, Phu Xuan District), organized the Traditional Boat Racing Festival. The event celebrated Hue’s transition to a centrally-governed municipality as well as the 578th Memorial Day of the Founding Ancestors of Trieu Son Dong Village, while provided a festive atmosphere for locals to enjoy the Lunar New Year.

Amidst the vibrant and bustling atmosphere of transitioning from the old year to the new year 2025, and celebrating the historic milestone of Hue becoming a centrally-governed municipality, on the evening of December 31, the Hue Festival Organizing Committee, Hue City People's Committee, and Carlsberg Vietnam Co., Ltd. collaborated to host the Countdown - Welcoming New Year 2025 event at the intersection of Vo Nguyen Giap and Van Tien Dung streets.

On December 7th, the Small and Medium Enterprise Networking Community (OBC) in Thua Thien Hue organized a trade networking event alongside the transition ceremony for the Executive Board of OBC Symphony Hue Chapter.
