On the occasion of Vietnam’s Science, Technology and Innovation Day 2026 (May 18), Hue city launched activities to honor outstanding scientists and present awards in science and technology competitions. Recognition and prizes serve as a bridge between scientific research and real-world life, helping to identify valuable new talents, products, and inventions that can be applied in real life to drive local socio-economic development.

Science and technology awards are not only a place to honor knowledge but also a “launching pad” for passion for those who love science and constantly innovate.

On the afternoon of June 27, the Department of Science and Technology, in collaboration with the project “Hue - A City to Reduce Plastics in Central Vietnam” under the World Wide Fund For Nature (WWF - Vietnam), organized the closing ceremony and awards presentation for the “Making Hue Cleaner” Contest on the Hue-S digital platform in 2025.

In the framework of the honoring ceremony of the 3rd Top Vietnam Industries 4.0 Awards held in Hanoi recently, Hue Monuments Conservation Center was honored in the category: Top Creative and Innovative Science/Technology Organizations/Businesses.

The Provincial Union of Scientific and Technical Associations, representing the Provincial Technical Innovation Contest organizing committe, has just released information on Thua Thien Hue’s participation and achievements at the 17th National Technical Innovation Competition (2022-2023) and the Science and Technology Innovation Awards of Vietnam in 2023.

On the afternoon of November 24, Hue University informed that on the same day, the ceremony of the L'Oréal-UNESCO Awards in Science 2023 was held at the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, and Hue University had a female scientist winning the prize.
