For Hue, the Year of the Horse not only opens a new cycle of time, but also marks the first year of implementing the Resolution of the 17th City Party Congress, a starting point for a five-year journey carrying a great aspiration: Hue accelerates rapidly yet sustainably, with a profound sense of identity.

On the afternoon of March 5th, a working delegation from the Standing Board of the City Party Committee, led by Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung, member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of Hue City Party Committee, visited and held a working session at Carlsberg Vietnam in Phu Bai. On the morning of March 1, Mr. Nguyen Hai Nam, a full-time member of the Economic and Financial Committee of the 15th National Assembly, visited and presented 100 gift packages to poor households and those in difficult circumstances in Phong Phu Ward.

This is the surviving lychee (hac le chi) tree, believed to have been grown from three lychee fruits bestowed upon the palace by the emperor. The tree casts shade over a corner of the palace, and its trunk is so wide that it would take several people to embrace it.
