In Thanh Thuy Ward, I met Minh, a 10-year-old boy in a Taekwondo uniform. Three years ago, he was a shy child, often sick and reluctant to communicate. But in the summer of 2024, his mother enrolled him in a nearby Taekwondo class. After just three summer months, Minh not only became healthier but also gained the confidence to give presentations in front of his class - something he had never dared to do before.

The People’s Committee of Hue City has just issued Plan No. 360/KH-UBND dated August 26th, 2025, on the organization of Hue Wellness Tourism Week 2025. Accordingly, the programs and events of this week will take place from October 21st to November 2nd, 2025.

Pho Loi River stretches along the route from Hue, starting from the point where it meets the Huong River and then flowing out to Thuan An seaport.

On August 24, the City Military Command directed Regiment 6 to deploy 100 officers and soldiers along with vehicles to grassroots areas to help people brace for Typhoon No. 5 (Kajiki). In 2020, when male officials and civil servants of the Department of Culture and Sports wore ao dai during working days and the weekly flag-raising ceremony, it immediately sparked controversy online. Then, it was not just the cultural sector, at important events, the provincial leaders (now Hue City) and intellectuals also began wearing ao dai. The appearance of the traditional ao dai for both men and women at cultural and educational events made the ceremonies more solemn, elegant, and impressive.

A friend of mine just came from the Southeastern region to visit Hue. After a day visiting various destinations, from the Imperial Citadel to the tombs of Emperors Gia Long and Minh Mang, then heading to the Van Thanh - Vo Thanh temples and Thien Mu Pagoda, my friend warmly remarked: “In Hue, wherever you go, you can see the Huong River. Now I understand why people here are so gentle and friendly. In this scene, by this river, it’s hard even to get upset!”.
