“Nguyen Tieu Festival” is an experiential program organized by Le Loi Primary School on February 12, aiming to educate students about traditional culture and bring an exciting atmosphere after the Lunar New Year holiday.

On the morning of February 8th (the 11th day of At Ty Lunar New Year, 2025), Trieu Son Dong Village council, in collaboration with Trieu Son Dong neighbourhood group (Huong Vinh Ward, Phu Xuan District), organized the Traditional Boat Racing Festival. The event celebrated Hue’s transition to a centrally-governed municipality as well as the 578th Memorial Day of the Founding Ancestors of Trieu Son Dong Village, while provided a festive atmosphere for locals to enjoy the Lunar New Year.

At the time when everything can be ordered online and delivered to your door, in a cozy place by the Huong river (Perfume River), we still gather every year to cook a pot of banh tet and to sing songs to say our farewells to the old year and welcome the new one. (Banh tet is the symbolic food for Tet (the New Year Celebration).

A great number of tourists and locals flocked into the Huyen Tran Temple Festival held on At Ty new year’s days. This was an event held by the Department of Culture and Sports, opening on the morning of the lunar January 9th (February 6) at Huyen Tran Cultural Center, located at the foot of Ngu Phong Mountain (An Tay Ward, Thuan Hoa District).

On February 6th, Hue Monuments Conservation Center (HMCC) launched the At Ty Spring (Lunar New Year of the Snake) 2025 “Tree Planting Festival – Forever Grateful to Uncle Ho” at Emperor Gia Long’s Mausoleum.

The majestic and magnificent Thai Hoa Palace (in the Imperial City) has been given a “new coat,” leaving those who witness it are not only overwhelmed but also in awe of the craftsmanship of the artisans who have dedicated themselves to the restoration work over the past three years.

On February 4th (January 7th of the Lunar New Year), the ceremonies of lowering Neu pole and opening the new year seal took place at Trieu Mieu and The Mieu in Hue Imperial Citadel.

With many years of experience in reviving the cloisonné art, artisan Do Huu Triet has introduced a new material called Viet Kim Dieu, marking a breakthrough in the creativity of Vietnamese ceramic art.

According to statistics from the Department of Tourism, during the nine-day Lunar New Year of the Snake (At Ty)holiday from January 25th to February 2nd (December 26th to the January 5th in the lunar calendar), Hue welcomed an estimated 150,300 visitors, marking a nearly 37% increase compared to the same period during the Year of the Dragon Tet holiday in 2024.

On the morning of February 3 (the 6th day of the Lunar New Year), Thu Le village wrestling festival, in Sia Town, Quang Dien District, jubilantly opened. This is a traditional beauty of residents in the lagoon area of Quang Dien District every time Tet (the Lunar New Year) comes and the Spring comes.
