After days of floods, Hue welcomes the cold along with light, lingering rain, in between dry days and occasional sunshine. Once again, Hue gently returns to its peaceful rhythm of everyday life, preparing itself as best as possible to welcome the New Year 2026.

People say that after days submerged in floodwater, when the water recedes, the ground is left with a dull, gloomy gray. Yet it is within that muted palette that the resilient life force of nature begins to sprout - taking root, greening again, and stirring with new vitality through the caring hands of the city’s green-park workers.

During their visits to educational institutions on the morning of November 20th in celebration of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day, city leaders acknowledged the contributions of the units to the city’s education and training efforts; at the same time, hoped that schools will continue to promote their roles, innovate, improve teaching quality, and make positive contributions to Hue’s development in the new period.

Although hundreds of thousands of pages of Han - Nom documents have been saved, many others in the community are still deteriorating, damaged, or lost for various reasons. Faced with this challenge, Hue City Library is racing against time each day in the hope of collecting and restoring them for digitization, preservation, and value promotion. A piece of good news is that the long-term plan for this work, extending through 2030, has just been approved by Hue City People’s Committee.

The event titled “Hue - Innovation for Sustainable Development” (Hue Innovation Day 2025) and the forum “Developing Private Economy in Connection with Heritage Economy Development in Hue” were recently held, opening new perspectives on harnessing heritage values as an economic resource. From the stories of young businesses to the strategy of heritage urban development, Hue is affirming its own path: Turning heritage into a sustainable development momentum.

To ensure good preparation for the Opening Ceremony of the academic year 2025 - 2026, linked to the 80th Anniversary Ceremony of the Traditional Day of Education sector, held online nationwide on the morning of September 5, the Department of Education and Training (DoET) established inspection teams on September 4. These teams were tasked with assessing the preparation and guiding the organization of the new academic year's opening ceremony at educational institutions across the city.

On the night of September 3, Hue City Music Association in collaboration with Vietnam Musicians Association branch in Hue and various art units organized a music program with the theme “ New Day in the Homeland” at Hue City Culture and Cinema Center to celebrate the 16th Vietnam Music Day (September 3, 2010 - September 3, 2025).

“Thanh Thuy New Day - Connecting the Community” 2025 marathon, organized by Thanh Thuy Ward, took place on the morning of September 2. The activity was held to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2).

Beneath the bright red national flag proudly flying over the skies of Truong Sa (Spratly Islands), we silently call out the names of the heroic martyrs who gave their lives to defend the sacred seas and islands of our homeland, hearing their echoes within the gentle murmur of waves welcoming a new, peaceful day.

In just the first two days (July 1st – 2nd) of implementing the two-tier local government model, over 846 applications were received at 40 Public Administrative Service Centers at the ward and commune levels in Hue City. The dedication of civil servants and volunteers, along with the application of technology, has made a positive impression, helping residents quickly adapt to the administrative procedures under the new two-tier local government system.
