Amid the festive atmosphere welcoming Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, Secretary of Hue City Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Trung visited, extended New Year greetings, and encouraged agencies on duty on New Year’s Eve to ensure safe and uninterrupted communications, power, and water services.

Accompanying him were Head of the Party Committee’s Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization Hoang Khanh Hung; and Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee Hoang Hai Minh

The first stop was Hue Newspaper and Radio-Television. Here, the Secretary of the City Party Committee commended reporters, editors, and technicians for their tireless efforts in promptly covering celebrations of the Party and the Lunar New Year, vividly reflecting the city’s festive life.

The Secretary of the City Party Committee stressed that amid rapid digital transformation, the city’s press agencies must continue to innovate in both content and presentation; uphold a pioneering role in guiding information; and proactively shape public opinion to build social consensus. The media must truly serve as a bridge between the Party, authorities, and the people, promptly capturing citizens’ concerns and aspirations, thereby providing city leaders with practical insights for governance and administration.

The delegation then visited and encouraged the staff of Hue Power Company. Extending New Year wishes for health and prosperity. The Secretary of the City Party Committee highly appreciated the sector’s 24/7 duty roster, ensuring safe and stable electricity supply for residents celebrating the Lunar New Year and for cultural and artistic activities across the city.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung acknowledged the unit’s proactive and flexible response to incidents, especially during flood seasons. He emphasized that as electricity demand for socio-economic development continues to rise, the company should further invest, modernize the power grid, and coordinate closely with departments and sectors to help attract investment and drive growth. He also urged attention to Party building, maintaining internal unity, and promoting the enterprise’s pioneering role in emulation movements.

At Hue City Border Guard Command, via an online call with border posts stationed along the land border and at sea, Secretary Nguyen Dinh Trung extended warm regards to officers and soldiers on round-the-clock duty at the nation’s frontlines.

He affirmed that firmly safeguarding sovereignty and border security, and ensuring a peaceful Lunar New Year for the people, is a particularly vital task. City leaders praised the forces’ sense of responsibility and proactive combat readiness, as well as their care for residents under the motto “no one left behind”. Entering the New Year, officers and soldiers were urged to uphold their traditions, remain vigilant, strengthen coordination among armed forces, agencies, and localities, and maintain political stability and social order across the border and maritime areas.

At each stop, Secretary of Hue City Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Trung extended New Year wishes to all officials, civil servants, public employees, workers, and their families. He confidently expressed that with a strong sense of responsibility, unity, and determination, the agencies and units would successfully fulfill their 2026 tasks, contributing to the city’s development goals and building Hue into an increasingly “green, smart, and culturally distinctive” city.
