The event titled “Hue - Innovation for Sustainable Development” (Hue Innovation Day 2025) and the forum “Developing Private Economy in Connection with Heritage Economy Development in Hue” were recently held, opening new perspectives on harnessing heritage values as an economic resource. From the stories of young businesses to the strategy of heritage urban development, Hue is affirming its own path: Turning heritage into a sustainable development momentum.

On the afternoon of November 4, Lieutenant General Ha Tho Binh, Commander of Military Region 4, visited, inspected, encouraged, and presented gifts to the forces participating in the task of overcoming the aftermath of floods in Hue City.

On the afternoon of November 4th, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee, Mr. Phan Thien Dinh, together with the Standing Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, received a donation of 1 billion VND from Cotana Group to support post-flood recovery efforts. ​

A section of Hue Imperial Citadel wall collapsed after days of heavy rain and flooding. The fallen section, about 15 meters long, is located on the northern side of Hue Imperial City, next to the park along Dang Thai Than Street (Phu Xuan Ward).

In recent days, the water plants of Hue Water Supply Joint Stock Company (HueWACO) have been supplying between 220,000 and 250,000 cubic meters to the water network, about 20% higher than on normal days.

Amid the complicated developments of recent flooding, Hue City Department of Health has rolled out a series of coordinated response measures to promptly relocate patients while ensuring the continuity of medical examinations, treatment, and public healthcare services.

On the morning of November 3, a working delegation from Hue City People's Committee, led by Mr. Phan Thien Dinh, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee, conducted a field inspection at some landslide and vulnerable areas in (formerly) Nam Dong District.

As the floodwaters receded, mud and scattered trash are left everywhere. These days, workers from Hue Urban Environment and Public Works Joint Stock Company (HEPCO) are straining themselves amid the smell of mud, murky water, and trash to restore the city's clean appearance.

A piece of good news is that in the first 9 months of 2025, Hue welcomed nearly 5 million of tourist arrivals, exceeding the 4.8 million tourist arrivals recorded in 2019. It contributed to creating a strong recovery after a period of stagnation, clearly highlighting the city’s role as the host of 2025 National Tourism Year.

On the morning of November 2, General Secretary To Lam visited Hue and traveled to Quang Dien District to meet, encourage, and give gifts to households affected by recent flooding.
