On August 1st (the 19th day of the sixth lunar month, Year of the Horse), the Executive Board of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) - Hue City officially opened the Guanyin Festival at the Guanyin Buddhist Spiritual Tourism Center on Tu Tuong Mountain in Thuy Xuan Ward, Hue City. ​

On the afternoon of July 28, a working delegation from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, led by Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong, held a working session with Hue City People’s Committee on coordinating the implementation of the Project to build and promote the national brand ‘Vietnam Photography City’.

On the afternoon of July 27th, Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee Tran Huu Thuy Giang chaired a meeting with Hue Tourism Association, travel agencies, and hotels across the city to discuss coordinated initiatives aimed at promoting tourism development in the coming time.

On the evening of July 25th, at Thuong Bac Park, the Department of Tourism, in collaboration with partner organizations, staged the "Bun bo Hue - The Legend of Van Cu and Huong Ngu Symphony" performance, a signature event of Hue - Culinary Capital 2026 program. The event was attended by Mr. Tran Huu Thuy Giang, Member of the City Party Committee and Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee.

On the late afternoon of July 24, the Department of Tourism, in coordination with relevant units, organized the National Bun bo Hue Festival. This is one of the highlight activities of the Hue - Culinary Capital 2026 program, aimed at honoring traditional values and spreading the Bun bo Hue brand to a wide audience of residents and visitors.

On the morning of July 24, the Department of Tourism coordinated with Hue Monuments Conservation Center to present gifts to Ms. Ha Phuong and her son in recognition of their 790-km walk from Hanoi to Hue as a gesture of encouragement.

Developing Hue-tuong in association with unlocking tourism potential offers a promising path to safeguarding one of Vietnam’s most distinctive intangible cultural heritage traditions while contributing to the growth of the local tourism economy.

On the evening of July 23, at Thuong Bac Park in Phu Xuan Ward, Hue City, Hue - Culinary Capital 2026 program, themed ‘Bun bo Hue (Hue beef noodle soup) Day’, officially opened. The program is led by the Department of Tourism, in coordination with relevant units, as part of Hue Festival 2026 series of events.

From July 16 to 21, a delegation from Hue City, led by Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Tran Huu Thuy Giang, attended the 48th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee (WHC48) in Busan, South Korea. During the visit, the delegation also organized a series of large-scale cultural and tourism promotion events in Seoul and Busan.

Tourism digital transformation in Hue is entering a more advanced stage as the connection of transportation, dining, shopping, and the exploration of attractions and heritage sites across digital platforms is being implemented in a coordinated manner, offering visitors a seamless travel experience.

In the coming time, the tourism sector will enhance the promotion of culinary tourism through culinary events and festivals, and create unique culinary tours to promote the advantages of local cuisine and enhance the tourism experience for visitors.

The tourism potential and resources in localities are abundant, and favorable for developing community tourism, and rural agricultural tourism, etc.

The tourism sector will convey the messages about plastic-free tourist destinations and tours through the promotion on at least 3 platforms with the highest reach of tourists.

In the rainy weather, excitement and joy were clearly visible on the faces of international guests.

The product development process must be associated with the process of upgrading the quality of facilities, techniques and services, tourist attractions, and especially the promotion of tourism destinations and products.
