From June 8th to 10th, Quang Dien District will host the Song nuoc Tam Giang (Tam Giang Water Wave) Festival as part of the activities celebrating Hue Festival 2024. The festival will feature a variety of unique cultural, artistic, and sports activities, deeply reflecting the riverine culture of the region surrounding the Tam Giang lagoon.

For the first time, the “Victory Challenge Sailun Cup 2024 & Car Camping Festival” off-road car racing event will take place at Thuy Tien Lake Park, Hue City. The event is organized by Thua Thien Hue Department of Culture and Sports, Southeast Asian Magazine, and Ky Nguyen (Epoch) Group Corporation, and will officially commence from June 20th to 23th.

As a part of the programs celebrating Hue Festival 2024, from June 8th to 10th, Quang Dien district will host the Tam Giang Water Wave Festival featuring a myriad of cultural, artistic, and sports activities, which is a unique feature of a countryside's river culture at the foot of Tam Giang lagoon.

The 2024 National Sambo Club Championship, co-organized by the Administration of Sports and Physical Training (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) in Nam Dinh Province, closed on May 27. This is the first time the Sambo Club Championship has been organized on a national scale. At the finish of the tournament, the Thua Thien Hue delegation clinched 14 medals, ranking 3rd in the entire delegation in their first-time competition.

Aside from contributing to earning Hue sports fame, the team of athletes who are the national team’s members is also a resource for the long-term and sustainable development of the provincial sports.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism has issued Decision No. 1266/QĐ-BVHTTDL allowing Hue Monuments Conservation Center to collaborate with the National Museum of History to conduct archaeological excavations at the Dai Cung Mon Gate site in Hue Imperial City.

On the morning of March 23, at Trinh Cong Son Park, Hue City People's Committee held the opening ceremony of the 3rd Hue City Traditional Boat Racing Competition, aiming to celebrate the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the 78th anniversary of the traditional day of the Vietnamese Sports sector, and the 49th anniversary of Thua Thien Hue's liberation day. This is also one of the activities responding to Hue Festival 2024.

With the theme "Spring Colors", the exhibition organized by the Hue Museum of Fine Arts just opened on the morning of March 21 at the Center for Culture, Information and Sports of Phu Loc district, attracting a large number of the public.

Step by step experimenting with training new sports in the Olympic sports system and continuing to implement the remuneration policies to attract talent are the issues raised in Thua Thien Hue’s development of high performance sports.

The Center for Culture, Information and Sports of Hue City has just coordinated with Dang Huy Tru Photography Club and friends to organize an opening ceremony of a photo exhibition themed "Spring Paths".
