Opening of the 3rd Vietnam International Photography Festival - Hue 2025

HNN.VN - On the afternoon of September 10, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in collaboration with Hue City People's Committee, organized the opening ceremony of the 3rd Vietnam International Photography Festival in 2025. This biennial international event aims to build a brand name for Vietnamese photography, while contributing to promoting the image of the country, people, and culture of Vietnam to international friends.

This year's Festival received 6,076 works from 415 photographers, including many photographic artists from 16 countries and territories, including: India, Laos, Cambodia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, the Republic of Korea, Japan, the USA, the UK, and Australia, etc.

Within the framework of the Festival, several special events are taking place, including exchanges and photo-shooting sessions in Hue, with the participants of 30 domestic and foreign photographic artists; and the photo exhibition themed “Vietnam through the lens of international photographers” and “Hue - Ancient Capital, New Opportunity”. The Organizing Committee selected 200 outstanding works from 133 photographers for display, and 20 of these were chosen for official awards.

This year’s list of same ranking awards features many impressive works, such as “The Attraction of Phu Quoc” (Le Tuan Anh - Vietnam), “Tam Coc in Water Lily season” (Mai Thanh Chuong - Vietnam), “The Huong River during Hue Nam Temple Festival” (Le Dinh Hoang - Vietnam), “Releasing lanterns at sunset” (Gunaratne Madugodaralalage Thejapriya Bandu - Sri Lanka), and “Hue Festival” (Nguyen Hai - the USA), etc.

The exhibition is taking place from September 10 to September 20 at Hue Museum of Fine Arts (17 Le Loi Street, Thuan Hoa Ward, Hue City).
