Carrying with them a love for Hue and impressed by the hospitality of the people of the Ancient Capital, the Royal Stilt Walkers of Merchtem (Koninklijke Steltenlopers Van Merchtem) of the Kingdom of Belgium will participate in Hue Festival for the 5th time.

In addition to the Hue heritage system, a large number of domestic and international tourists came to visit and offer incense of paying tribute at other historical sites in the province, with the largest number of tourists were at the Chin Ham historical relic site (An Tay Ward) and the Phan Boi Chau memorial site (Truong An Ward, Hue City).

Strong growth in the number of international visitors, as well as recognition from the press and the world’s leading prestigious tourism organizations, open up opportunities for Hue to put a spotlight on its tourism. It is expected that there will be bright colors on the big picture of Hue tourism in 2024 and the following years.

After the complete liberation of the South, the country was unified, Thua Thien Hue remained a locality bearing many scars of war; the lives of the people were extremely difficult; many buildings, architectures were desolate and in ruins. Based on statistics on the number of guests booking rooms at accommodation facilities and tourist attractions, it is expected that Thua Thien Hue will welcome a large source of visitors from other provinces and cities during the upcoming long holiday of April 30 and May 1, with an estimated 65,000 arrivals.

On the morning of April 24th, Hue University in collaboration with Friedrich Naumann Foundation (Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF)) organized an international workshop with the theme “Gender and the Role of Women in Smart Cities and Climate Change Adaptation".

"220 years of Vietnam's national name - historical journeys (1804 - 2024)" is the topic of a scientific conference organized by the Provincial Historical Science Association. The conference took place on the morning of April 23 in Hue City.
