In the 2024 Vietnam Art Photography Competition, the Organizing Committee received over 900 sets of photos. Out of these, 73 sets were selected for the exhibition, and 19 sets were awarded prizes.

On the afternoon of October 22nd, Hue Monuments Conservation Center held a meeting with the Department of Education and Training to discuss implementing a heritage education program for students.

Many renowned dishes representing various regions have been recognized as National Intangible Cultural Heritage, such as Quảng noodles of Quang Nam province and the craft of making phở of Nam Dinh province. In light of this information, diners are asking where bún bò Hue (beef noodle soup) stands on the culinary map and why it has not been recognized yet.

On October 5th, the Vietnam Digital Media Association and VietTimes e-magazine held the Vietnam Digital Awards 2024 ceremony in Hanoi. Hue Monuments Conservation Center (HMCC) was honored in the category of Outstanding digital transformation by public service and business units with its solution “Applying digital technology to conserve and promote the values of Hue’s heritage.”

Thua Thien Hue, along with Da Nang and Quang Nam, are strengthening cooperation to boost tourism between Vietnam and Australia, particularly by connecting the Australian tourist market with Central Vietnam. By enhancing promotion and advertising of the “Amazing Central Vietnam Heritage” tourism brand in Australia, the goal is to attract visitors from this significant potential market to Central Vietnam in general, and to Hue in particular.

On the afternoon of September 28th, the Department of Education and Training, in collaboration with Hue Monuments Conservation Center and the Provincial Museum of History, organized a heritage visit and experience at the Imperial Citadel for students who received the title of “Honored student of the school" for the 2023 - 2024 academic year.

“Coloring heritage” and “Hue Art Memory Game” featuring traditional Vietnamese motifs from the Nguyen Dynasty are part of the “Heritage education” program for 2024, jointly organized by Hue Monuments Conservation Center and GEKE (German society for the Preservation of cultural heritage). The program is held at Phung Tien Temple in Hue Imperial Citadel and is entirely free for children.

In an effort to collect and duplicate documents for the work of relic renovation and preservation, Hue Monuments Conservation Center has sent its staff to the Overseas National Archives (ANOM) in the city of Aix en Provence and the École Française d'Extrême-Orient (EFEO) in Paris to access the source of documents related to the Nguyen Dynasty.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism has just issued a decision to recognize “The Knowledge of Making and Wearing Hue Ao dai” of Thua Thien Hue Province as part of the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List. This serves as an impetus for the Thua Thien Hue Garment Association to promote the introduction of the five-panel Ao dai into schools.

With more than 12 years holding the brush, Nguyen Dinh Viet (born in 1989, Ha Tinh) represented young Vietnamese artists to participate in the group exhibition at KTG Gallery in Hamburg, Germany (2015) and at @Art NewGen in Songkhla, Thailand (2021), leaving a good impression on local people and art collectors.
