Hue Central Hospital is bringing a range of advanced medical technologies into clinical practice, enabling people to access high-tech healthcare services in Central Vietnam.

On June 12th, at Hue Central Hospital, a delegation from Yokosuka Kyosai Hospital attended a working session and professional exchange as part of the long-term physician training cooperation program between the two institutions, which has been maintained for nearly a decade.

As part of its international cooperation program, Hue Central Hospital welcomed and worked with a delegation of South Korean partners from June 8th to 10th, 2026, to expand cooperation in healthcare, research and development (R&D), technology transfer, and the development of specialized medical services in Hue City.

On the morning of June 5th, Hue Central Hospital hosted an International Scientific Conference between Hue Central Hospital and Taichung General Hospital (Taiwan - China) with the participation of numerous leading domestic and international experts, professors, and physicians.

The activity was organized by Hue Central Hospital in coordination with Da Nang Charity Group for disadvantaged pediatric patients receiving treatment at the hospital on the occasion of International Children’s Day on June 1st.

Hue Central Hospital has successfully performed six organ transplants from a brain-dead donor, bringing life-saving and restorative opportunities to six critically ill patients. This achievement not only affirms the high level of expertise of the hospital’s medical team but also profoundly spreads the humanitarian value of organ and tissue donation within the community.

On the morning of April 28th, Hue Central Hospital held a ceremony to introduce the 3.0 Tesla MRI system - SIGNA Pioneer. Attendees included Mr. Pham Duc Tien, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of Hue City People’s Council; Mr. Tran Huu Thuy Giang, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the city People’s Committee, along with representatives of various departments and agencies.

To meet the demand for updating knowledge and enhancing professional capacity for medical staff, Hue Central Hospital recently launched a series of large-scale and continuous training courses in March 2026, attracting a significant number of trainees from various healthcare facilities across the country.

On the morning of March 25, Hue Central Hospital announced that it had held a discharge ceremony for a pediatric patient with thalassemia (a hereditary blood disorder) following a successful bone marrow transplant using marrow donated by the patient’s older sister. This is the 15th thalassemia bone marrow transplant performed at the hospital, marking an important step forward in the treatment of genetic hematologic diseases.

This notable figure was announced at the 2025 Voluntary Blood Donation Review Conference held on the morning of March 11th by the city’s Voluntary Blood Donation Mobilization Steering Committee in coordination with Hue Red Cross Society.
