On the morning of August 27, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Le Tri Thanh received and held a working session with Mr. Andrew Khan, General Director of Carlsberg Vietnam.

From August 25 to 27, an intensive training program for Happy School trainers for the 2026-2027 academic year was held in Hue, bringing together a core team of education officials and teachers. The program marks an important preparatory step toward integrating the spirit and values of Happy Schools into educational institutions across the city.

Rather than focusing on sheer visitor numbers, the Hue Monuments Conservation Center is shifting its service strategy at the Imperial City and other heritage sites toward product selectivity and enhanced visitor experiences, to attract high-spending tourists.

On the afternoon of August 25th, Mr. Chu Minh Tuan – Coach of Hue City Jujitsu team, said that following the conclusion of the 2026 Southeast Asian Ju-Jitsu Championship and Junior Championship, Vietnam topped the overall standings with 120 gold, 113 silver and 112 bronze medals, with Hue City Ju-Jitsu team making a notable contribution.

The 2026 National Archery Championships kicked off on the morning of August 24th at Tu Do Stadium. The tournament is part of Hue Sports Festival 2026, jointly organised by Hue City Department of Culture and Sports and Vietnam Sports Authority.

The exhibition, through the language of photography, aims to strengthen Hue City's cultural diplomacy and expand cooperation with diplomatic missions of ASEAN countries in Vietnam. It will also help promote Hue as a heritage city and a distinctive Festival City of Vietnam, as well as an attractive cultural and tourism destination in the Central region. ​

The final match of the 2026 National Hometown Football Tournament took place on the afternoon of August 23 at the PM Sport artificial turf field in Ho Chi Minh City. Despite making their debut in the tournament, Hue Hometown FC advanced all the way to the final, with their journey carrying significant meaning along the way.

On August 23, in Huong An and Hoa Chau wards, Hue City Women’s Union, in coordination with the Children of Viet Nam (COV), organized a program to provide livelihood models for single mothers and scholarships and learning support packages for children facing difficult circumstances in the two wards.
