On the afternoon of July 30, Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee Tran Huu Thuy Giang received and held a working session with a delegation from Yulin City, Guangxi Province (China), led by Mr. Tran Thuy, Deputy Secretary-General (Deputy Chief of Office) of the Yulin City Party Committee.

That was the message delivered by Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Hue City Party Committee, and Head of the city's National Assembly Delegation, at an investment promotion discussion between Hue City and Chinese enterprises held on the afternoon of July 29th.

On the afternoon of July 29th, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Hue City Party Committee, and Head of the City's National Assembly Delegation, received and held talks with a delegation led by Mr. He Wei, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Vietnam, during the Ambassador's official visit to Hue City.

On the afternoon of July 27, Deputy Secretary of Hue City Party Committee, Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Le Tri Thanh chaired a conference to review the progress of the ‘500 Days and Nights Campaign’ to accelerate the search, recovery, and identification of fallen soldiers’ remains, along with the program to replace temporary and dilapidated houses for the biological children of resistance fighters exposed to Agent Orange/dioxin across the city.

A highlight of Hue Today Issue No. 483 is the coverage of the second extraordinary session of Hue City People's Council, held on the afternoon of July 26th. Marking the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026), on the morning of July 27, the Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city held an incense-and-flower offering ceremony at Hue City Martyrs’ Cemetery to honor and pay tribute to heroic martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for the cause of national liberation and the defense of the Fatherland.

On the afternoon of July 26, the 9th Hue City People’s Council for the 2026 - 2031 term held its second Specialized Session, electing Mr. Le Tri Thanh, Deputy Secretary of Hue City Party Committee, as Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee for the 2026 - 2031 term.

On the evening of July 25th, at Thuong Bac Park, the Department of Tourism, in collaboration with partner organizations, staged the "Bun bo Hue - The Legend of Van Cu and Huong Ngu Symphony" performance, a signature event of Hue - Culinary Capital 2026 program. The event was attended by Mr. Tran Huu Thuy Giang, Member of the City Party Committee and Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee.
