Among the thousands of artifacts which Mrs. Cecile Le Pham, the owner of Cecile Le Pham Museum of Fine Arts at 53 Ham Nghi St., possesses, the collection of ancient Indochinese banknotes brings viewers an interesting perspective on the currency that used to circulate in Vietnam during the French colonial period.

Ms. Dinh Thi Hoai Trai, Director of the Hue Fine Arts Museum, announced on January 19th that the museum received nearly 60,000 visitors in 2023. Visitors were mainly attracted to Le Ba Dang and Diem Phung Thi art exhibitions. According to Ms. Trai, this figure represents a 40% increase compared to that of the year 2022.

In 2023, Thua Thien Hue's artists were actively engaged in various cultural and artistic events in parallel with significant developments in the province's literature and arts.

The Provincial Union of Literature and Arts Associations organized a program to award and honor writers and artists on the morning of December 27th 2023 to honor writers and artists who have won international, domestic, regional, annual awards of the Union of Arts and Literature Associations, or other prestigious national awards.

On the morning of December 26, the Provincial Folk Arts Association organized a scientific seminar themed "Folk culture of Thua Thien Hue - Values, challenges and orientations for preservation and promotion".

Over 100 students from Huong Long primary school (Hue City) participated in a communication activity on gender equality in 2023, an activity held by Hue Fine Arts Museum on December 25 with various activities such as exhibition, propaganda on gender equality, and painting competition.

Landscapes, festivals, cultural activities, and beliefs of ASEAN countries through the art of photography are introduced to the Hue public through the exhibition named “Culture and arts of ASEAN countries - 2023”.

On the morning of December 8, the People’s Committee of Hue City in collaboration with the Vietnam Photography Association, the Union of Literature and Arts Associations, and the Provincial Photography Association held an award ceremony and opening of the news and artistic photo contest called Hue – The Friendly Land.

Many precious fine art works by famous artists of Hue, collected by Hue Museum of Fine Arts over the past 5 years, are being introduced to the public for the first time.
