On the morning of December 8, the People’s Committee of Hue City in collaboration with the Vietnam Photography Association, the Union of Literature and Arts Associations, and the Provincial Photography Association held an award ceremony and opening of the news and artistic photo contest called Hue – The Friendly Land.

This was the topic of a seminar held on the afternoon of November 29 at Lan Vien Co Tich 2 - an intercultural rendezvous at 94, 96, 98 Bach Dang, Hue City.

The outdoor exhibition at Phung Tien Palace, Hue Imperial City offered viewers an opportunity to learn about the architecture, spiritual life under the Nguyen Dynasty as well as the cultural, historical and artistic values of this era through virtual reconstruction combined with reality.

Considered the first digital art space in Vietnam, Songlab (Ba Trieu Street, Hue City) is a place where art lovers can enjoy massive works that artists used technology for experiencing performance. In this space, people seem to be immersed in a colorful artistic world of modern technology.

On the morning of August 18th, the Management board of Dong Ba Market organized the opening of an artistic and current affairs photography contest titled “A new day at Dong Ba market”.

The preservation and promotion of the values of the artistic heritage of Hue Singing (Ca Hue) have captured much attention recently. A dossier “The Art of Hue Singing” has been assembled to submit to the UNESCO to be considered for inclusion in the list of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Not similar to the “Western Street” (the Pham Ngu Lao - Chu Van An - Vo Thi Sau Walking Street) and Hue Imperial City Night Street, Hai Ba Trung Walking Street is expected to be a bustling shopping street, serving the needs of nightlife entertainment for the locals and visitors, which is also a venue of cultural, artistic and street music activities.
