On the morning of February 10th (the 23rd day of the twelfth lunar month of the Year of the Snake), under fine weather conditions, Hue Monuments Conservation Center reenacted the ceremony of setting up Neu pole (Thuong Tieu ceremony) in strict accordance with royal court rituals of the Nguyen Dynasty. The activity was part of Hue Festival 2026, attracting large numbers of locals and visitors to observe and experience the event, recreating the atmosphere of the traditional Tet holiday in the former Royal Palace.

On the evening of February 7, at Kim Long Park in front of Kim Long Communal House, Kim Long Ward People’s Committee held the opening ceremony of the program “Kim Long Tet - Where Tradition Shines” 2026. The event is a hallmark community cultural activity that recreates the traditional Tet atmosphere while honoring and promoting the distinctive cultural values of Hue City - the historically rich land along the Huong River.

On the evening of January 31, Hue City Youth Center organized a traditional Tet experience program titled “The scent of Vietnamese spring”, under the theme “Spring of connection - Peaceful Tet”.

On the morning of January 30, the Coast Guard Region 2 Command, in coordination with the City Party’s Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization and the city Department of Education and Training, organized the city-level “I Love Homeland’s Seas and Islands” contest for the 2025-2026 academic year.

From February 7 to 15, 2026 (corresponding to the 20th to 28th days of the Lunar December of the Year of At Ty), the People’s Committee of Hoa Chau Ward will organize the “Hoa Chau Tet Festival” along Bao Vinh Pedestrian Street. The event will feature a wide range of distinctive cultural and community activities, helping to create a lively and joyful atmosphere for residents in celebration of the traditional Tet holiday of Binh Ngo 2026.

To create a joyful and vibrant atmosphere before, during, and after the Lunar New Year of the Horse (Binh Ngo) 2026, Thuan Hoa Ward will organize the Thuan Hoa Spring Festival Binh Ngo 2026 at Hue Book and Culture Space (23 - 25 Le Loi Street, Thuan Hoa Ward). The program, themed “Dung dang dung de - Welcoming Spring in joy and good health”, will take place on February 1.

On the afternoon of January 4, the volunteer program “Radiant Spring Vibe” took place at the first-floor lobby of the Oncology Center at Hue Central Hospital, creating a warm, caring atmosphere for patients undergoing treatment in the oncology department and pediatric radiotherapy unit. The charity event was jointly organized by the “One Painting - Many Hopes” project and the City Women Business Association.

On the first day of 2026, sunny weather set a serene and poetic tone in Hue. Both visitors and residents took time to savor the city’s unhurried, gentle pace. Beyond its famed heritage sites, spiritual and cultural spaces, parks, and public recreation areas were bustling with visitors.

In the early mornings, the southern part of Hue City begins with a familiar rhythm: the sound of runners’ footsteps along the coastal road, the crisp tap of shuttlecocks in a commune’s small badminton court, and the cheerful laughter of people practicing wellness fitness exercises. This sporting atmosphere has become an integral part of daily life, helping residents improve their health, strengthen community bonds, and nurture an optimistic spirit.

On the evening of December 21, as part of the closing event of the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025, Ngo Mon Square - Hue Imperial Citadel transformed into a “high-energy hotspot” of music as the Mega Booming Day 2 attracted thousands of spectators and young people, who immersed themselves in the enthusiastic atmosphere of Hue Mega Concert.
