This is the goal set by Hue University. Achieving this will not only enhance the role and position of the Institute of Biotechnology in particular and Hue University in general but also the status of the centrally governed city in the coming time. To better understand the direction, implementation solutions, and future role of the center, Thua Thien Hue Weekly had a meeting with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Truong Thi Hong Hai, Director of the Institute of Biotechnology, Hue University.

On the afternoon of September 27, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs held a conference to evaluate the work of sending laborers abroad under contracts for the first nine months of the year and to outline tasks for the last three months of 2024. The conference also aimed to discuss and address questions from relevant units and service companies regarding the advantages, difficulties, and challenges in sending laborers abroad.

On the morning of September 25th, the Center for Social Work and the Child Protection Fund (CSW-CPF), in collaboration with the Vietnam Child Protection Fund and the Hope Foundation, organized a scholarship award program for students with disabilities, agent orange victims from various districts, towns, and Hue City, as well as children of fishermen facing difficult circumstances in Quang Dien and Phu Loc districts.

“Coloring heritage” and “Hue Art Memory Game” featuring traditional Vietnamese motifs from the Nguyen Dynasty are part of the “Heritage education” program for 2024, jointly organized by Hue Monuments Conservation Center and GEKE (German society for the Preservation of cultural heritage). Never before have the people of Hue Ancient Capital talked about so many traffic construction projects and works as they do now. Not only small roads but also many major roads have been opened, in hope that “large roads generate great wealth”, contributing to turning Thua Thien Hue into a centrally-governed city.

In an effort to collect and duplicate documents for the work of relic renovation and preservation, Hue Monuments Conservation Center has sent its staff to the Overseas National Archives (ANOM) in the city of Aix en Provence and the École Française d'Extrême-Orient (EFEO) in Paris to access the source of documents related to the Nguyen Dynasty.

With more than 12 years holding the brush, Nguyen Dinh Viet (born in 1989, Ha Tinh) represented young Vietnamese artists to participate in the group exhibition at KTG Gallery in Hamburg, Germany (2015) and at @Art NewGen in Songkhla, Thailand (2021), leaving a good impression on local people and art collectors.

As part of their tour in Vietnam, the concert duo consisting of cellist Reinhard Armleder and pianist Dagmar Hartmann from Germany will perform a concert at the Song Huong Theater of Hue Academy of Music on the evening of September 5th.
