On the morning of May 31st, Hue City Youth and Children Center organized the opening ceremony for its 2026 summer activities program and Hue City Children’s Festival.

On the evening of May 30, the University of Agriculture and Forestry, Hue University, held the final round of the 7th Science Innovation and Agricultural Startup Idea Competition 2026, drawing the participation of lecturers, students, scientists, and business representatives.

As part of the celebrations for Vesak 2570 (Buddhist Era) and Hue Festival 2026, the Vegetarian Food Festival - Hue Festival 2026 officially opened on the afternoon of May 28th (the 12th day of the fourth lunar month) at the riverside area along the Perfume River. On May 28 and 29 (corresponding to the 12th and 13th days of the Lunar April), Nguyen Dinh Chieu Pedestrian Street will be transformed into a large-scale and distinctive vegetarian culinary space for the Vegetarian Food Festival - Hue Festival 2026.

Heading towards the 136th anniversary of the birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026), on the morning of May 16, the City Association for Promoting Education held the May 19 program to award scholarships to students facing difficult circumstances in the city area.

On the evening of May 15, the Department of Finance, in collaboration with the City Young Business Association, and Soc do Joint Stock Company - socsdo.vn e-commerce platform, organized a program titled “Unlocking Revenue Growth with Zalo - AI - CRM Ecosystem”. The program attracted the participation of over 100 businesses and household enterprises in the area.

At the 2026 Beach Wrestling World Championships held from May 9th - 10th at My Khe Beach in Da Nang, two athletes from Hue wrestling team contributed two bronze medals to Vietnam wrestling’s overall success.

On the afternoon of May 10, the opening ceremony of Hue Student Football Tournament (Hue Students SV7 2026 - Intrase Cup), organized by Hue University, took place at the artificial turf field complex of Chi Lang High School.

The National 3x3 Basketball Championship for Strong Teams and U20 2026 officially opened on the evening of May 10 at Aeon Mall Hue Shopping Center.
