After Hue craft festival 2023 being organized for eight days, on the morning of May 5, the People's Committee of Hue City held a closing ceremony of a contest for voting the typical products at Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2023, and announced the winning products.

Many interesting activities took place, such as the performing calligraphy demonstration themed "Vietnamese spirit"; displaying and giving calligraphy works to visitors as well as guiding visitors through calligraphy writing.

On the evening of May 1, at the stage bordering on the Huong River – the Ironwood Bridge - Nguyen Dinh Chieu pedestrian street, the art program "Gratitude to the Huong River" took place with many musical performances and flower boat performances.

On the afternoon of May 1st, the Organizing Committee of the Culinary Festival themed “The Quintessence of Noodle” set a Vietnam record with “Hue-style mixed stir-fried noodle serving 1,000 diners at a time”.

In the first two days of Hung Kings Commemoration Day, anniversaries of Liberation Day (April 30), and International Labor Day (May 1), Hue tourism welcomed over 30.000 tourist arrivals, all hotels in the provincial area worked at full capacity.

On the morning of May 1st, Hue City Women's Union, in collaboration with Hue City Labour Federation, Hue Youth Union, and Hue Sports and Culture Information Center, organized an event called “Ao Dai by the Perfume River.”

The purpose of raising Asian Palm civets of Mr. Vo Quang, a citizen of Group 10 - Thuy Phuong ward - Huong Thuy town, is not for business or profit, yet for raising people’s awareness on protecting endangered wildlife animals; in which, there are many rare species that are on the verge of extinction.

In the framework of the exhibition “Bonsais and Orchids of three regions in 2023” held by the Organizing Committee of Hue Festival 2023, on the morning of April 28, the ritual to offer bonsais and orchids took place from Ngo Mon Square to The Mieu.

On the morning of April 28th, an A321 aircraft with flight number VN 1370 from Vietnam Airlines carried 168 passengers from Ho Chi Minh City to Hue. This was the first flight to “inaugurate” Terminal T2 at Phu Bai International Airport.

With only 4 days left until the Hung Kings Commemoration Day holiday, and April 30 and May 1 holidays, Thua Thien Hue's tourism industry is ready to welcome tourists on these holidays.
