The scenery of the watery area with a cool river always makes people feel relaxed, happy and peaceful.

Located at the confluence of the Huong River (Hue City) and Pho Loi River, La Y alluvial ground is the one which is raised naturally just around 5km away from the city center

This is an ideal place to contemplate sunset over the old Thanh Ha wharf, as well as contemplating the nights of bright full moon and absorbing vitamin D in a new day filled with early sunshine to help you re-connect with yourself and the world.

Coming to this place, you will also get the chance to meet the honest and upright fishermen

There will be two ways for you to “take your very first step to this deserted island”, including surfing sups or kayaks down the Huong River from the city center to Bao Vinh ancient town. This alluvial ground is in front of the La Y Barrage – where the river confluence branches to the Pho Loi River, or riding motorbikes to the La Y Barrage, then hiring locals’ boats to come to the alluvial ground.

Hue News would like to invite you to “the place in equanimity” – La Y alluvial ground, which is placid and gorgeous” through a series of photos taken by Nguyen Phuc Bao Minh, a photographer.

Sowing Green Seeds, Delivering Knowledge

There are people who work their entire lives quietly, yet their footprints remain deeply imprinted on the lands they have passed through, like an underground stream that silently nourishes an entire forest. Associate Professor Dr. Le Van Thang, Vice President of Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment, former Director of the Institute of Resources and Environment at Hue University, and former Dean of the Faculty of Environment at the University of Sciences, Hue University, is one such person.
