Dancing in Ao dai marks the end of the Hue Community Ao dai Week 2023

HNN.VN - The “Dancing - Ao dai by the Huong River” program took place at the park area of Nha Ken, next to Truong Tien Bridge (Le Loi Street, Hue City) on the afternoon of July 12, officially ended the Hue Community Ao dai Week 2023 organized by the Department of Culture and Sports.

In traditional Ao dai attire, participants danced together, performing synchronized movements to the lively music, creating a joyful and vibrant atmosphere in the picturesque park along the Huong River.

This event also marked the end of Hue Community Ao dai Week 2023, which took place from July 6th to 12th. Earlier, numerous other events were held at different locations throughout the week, attracting a large number of local residents and tourists. These events included a cycling parade, exhibitions and performances showcasing Ao dai, experiences related to Ao dai and daily life, the connection between Ao dai and cultural heritage, and a competition to promote understanding of Ao dai among the youth.

Mr. Phan Thanh Hai, Director of the Department of Culture and Sports, said that Hue Community Ao dai Week 2023 is one of the important events under the “Hue - The capital of Ao dai” project. Through this week-long campaign, the strengths, brand name, and unique cultural values of Hue Ao dai are explored, aiming to establish Hue as a destination associated with Ao Dai and stimulate tourism development. Gradually, the "Hue - The capital of Ao dai” project will be effectively implemented.

“All activities organized during the Hue Community Ao dai Week 2023 primarily focus on the community as the main subject. Through community engagement, we aim to effectively promote Hue Ao dai and its cultural heritage, connecting them with tourism promotion,” shared Mr. Hai.
