Gentle beauty of lotus in summer

On September 8th, Hue City Women’s Union organized the Final Round of the 2026 ‘Women Entrepreneurs - Digital Transformation Journey’ competition. The event was attended by Mr. Nguyen Chi Tai, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City, and Ms. Nguyen Thi Ai Van, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City.

A group of young people who continue “the story of Hue’s lotus” by giving it new life beyond culinary products or the blossoms that brighten every summer, through decorative items, gifts, and unique accessories.

After months of intensive study, summer is the time for many parents to take their children to libraries and museums for recreation and sightseeing activities, allowing them to relax and enjoy a truly meaningful summer break.

Along the length of Vietnam’s S-shaped land, the lotus is deeply familiar to every Vietnamese. In Hue, the lotus is not only an economically valuable agricultural crop but also one of the defining cultural symbols of the land.

On the evening of June 19, at Tinh Tam Lake, the Department of Tourism hosted “Thuc Thuy Show,” an art and culinary performance that serves as one of the highlights of the 2026 Hue Lotus Festival, taking place from June 19 to 21.
