The pass is 20km long, belonging to the Truong Son Mountain range with an altitude of nearly 500m above sea level.

On the Northern side of the pass, belonging to the territory of Thua Thien Hue, Lap An Lagoon and Lang Co fishing village create a peaceful scene viewed from the top of the pass. The pristine white dunes stretch out far away, while far off in the distance are the mountain ranges extending endlessly covered by the white cloud, and looking halfway to the sky is the bridge to Hai Van tunnel “running into the mountain”. All form a poetic picture that visitors have to stand speechless to enjoy, etc.

To experience clearly the grandeur of the pass, let’s go in groups and travel by motorbike. The essentials for a motor backpacking travel are indispensable to get the most meaningful trip.
