WWF funds non-refundable aid project on preservation in Central area of Truong Son Mountain Range

The Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee has just issued the Decision No.1687/ QĐUBND launching the non-refundable aid project on “Strengthening the roles of community and social organizations in the preservation mission in the Central area of Truong Son Mountain Range (Thua Thien Hue)” sponsored by World Wide Fund for Nature in Vietnam (WWF –Vietnam)

The project aims to contribute to intensifying the capacity of social organizations and local communities to join in building policies, giving feedbacks on natural resources and biodiversity management. At the same time, through local social organizations it also supports improving the livelihoods of forest-dependent communities, thereby easing the pressure on natural resources.

The total capital of this project is 6,854,701.372 VND. The recipient unit is the Provincial Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development. The project area is located in the buffet zone of Bach Ma National Park and Sao La Nature Reserve in Nam Dong and A Luoi districts. The implementation period is from 2018 to 2022.
