The working group of Asian Development Bank works in Thua Thien Hue province
HNN.VN - On October 3, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phuong received and worked with the Asian Development Bank's Eptisa consultative working group on the technical assistance project "adaptable and sustainable urban development".
At the meeting, Eptisa consultative working group gave a brief presentation on the technical assistance project "adaptable and sustainable urban development". Accordingly, the project is funded by the Asian Development Bank to help the Ministry of Construction to perfect the National Urban Development Strategy. The project will specify the national objectives set out in the Master Plan for urban development in Vietnam by 2025 with a vision to 2050, the national urban upgrading Program for the period 2009-2020, and the national urban development program for the period 2012 to 2020, through the action plans associated with urban development programs in localities; and guide the improvement of national urban planning, integrating climate change adaptation into urban development planning. For Thua Thien Hue province, the Eptisa consultative working group wanted the provincial leaders to facilitate the group to research, field survey and to work with departments, the People's Committee to obtain information for the project.
Vice Chairman Nguyen Van Phuong appreciated the aim of the project and promised to facilitate and provide information to the Eptisa consultative working group while working in Hue. Thua Thien Hue province is also part of the whole national urban areas and is in the process of urban development, so Vice Chairman Nguyen Van Phuong wants Eptisa consultative working group to do research to help the province solve the traffic problems, warn against climate change and orient urban development in the direction of preserving and promoting existing heritage values.
