Vice Chairman of Provincial’s People Committee Phan Thien Dinh chairs the meeting with the participation of the departments on the preparation of organizing IT events in the province
Accordingly, a chain of events on information technology (IT) will be held including the announcement ceremony of Thua Thien Hue smart urban service through the Center for Monitoring and Running smart urban and the discussion on “Hue and the innovation process”; the conference on IT investment promotion of Thua Thien Hue province; the meeting of IT director board (CIO) of Central – Central Highland provinces; and the national seminar on e-government in 2019 held by the Government Office and Ministry of Information and Communications.
According to the Ministry of Information and Communications, after the initial success in providing Interactive Portal reflecting the real situations of social life’s aspects, the work of launching some more smart urban services in Thua Thien Hue province through the Center for Monitoring and Running smart urban is the next step in the route of implementing the project of building e-government of Thua Thien Hue province.
Accordingly, in the coming time, the Center for Monitoring and Running smart urban will deploy and carry out smart urban services including online administrative service; warning information service; the online information services on tourism, education, healthcare, and online payment service. Notably, the warning information service is a function in mobile application (Hue-S) which aims to support people identifying and preventing dangerous situations of traffic and weather, water and electricity supply, as well as frauds, etc.
In parallel with this event, the conference on IT investment promotion of Thua Thien Hue province is an opportunity for the province to introduce the potentials and strengths of IT development; at the same time to inform the preferential mechanisms and policies to promote the potentials and attract investors and IT projects in provincial area; especially in the development of software and artificial intelligence industry, etc.
A noteworthy point in the chain of IT events held at the end of July 2019 is the national seminar on e-government in 2019 which will be held by the Government Office and Ministry of Information and Communications. The seminar is a chance for Thua Thien Hue province to inform and exchange experiences, as well as to learn efficient models of other provinces, cities and countries all over the world to efficiently implement the work of building e-government in the provincial area. Especially, sharing experiences in investing IT technical infrastructure development, as well as the solutions to strengthen online multi-industry administrative service connection, data share mechanism and the solution on e-government connective infrastructure security, etc.
The national seminar on e-government in 2019 is expected to be held in a day (July 26, 2019), with one official meeting and two thematic seminars with the participation of relative ministries and departments, Vietnam digital media Association, IDG Vietnam, representatives of the Provincial’s People Committee and the Department of Information and Communications of provinces and cities, as well as IT specialists, and investors and businesses at home and abroad.
