Mitani Sangyo Group (Japan) invests in Information Technology in Hue

HNN.VN - On the morning of February 27, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Ngoc Tho met and worked with Mr. Fukada Hiroshi, former Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Vietnam and representatives of Mitani Sangyo Group on developing the field of Information Technology (IT) in the province.

At the meeting, Mr. Fukada Hiroshi expressed his pleasure and thanked the provincial leaders for facilitating and supporting Japanese enterprises to operate effectively in the past time, especially in facilitating Mitani Sangyo Group to establish its Representative Office in Hue. With his role as a bridge, he will continue to introduce the potential and strengths of Hue to Japanese businesses which are seeking investment opportunities in Hue.

Representatives of Mitani Sangyo Group, Mr. Mitani Mitsuru - Chairman of the Board of directors said that the purpose of the Group in opening its office in Hue is to train and recruit students to work in the field of software design for the Group. According to him, Hue is the best locality to choose to develop the field of IT here.

Mitani Sangyo Group hopes to continue to receive the attention of the provincial leaders as well as related units in the coming time to help the Group link with universities in the province to develop the training of IT human resources. The Group will also study to develop more software design companies in the province.

Chairman Phan Ngoc Tho welcomed Japanese enterprises to choose Hue to open its representative office, develop IT industry, including creating software used in thousands of businesses and agencies all over the world. Affirming that in the socio-economic development strategy, the province always pays attention to the field of IT industry development and has incentives for enterprises to invest in this field.

The Chairman also suggested Mitani Sangyo Group to have a strategy to develop long-term IT industry in Hue. Immediately, the province will direct departments and agencies to coordinate with universities to provide scholarships for 300 - 400 IT students every year, ready to meet the need of IT human resources for companies; at the same time, there is a policy to call Hue people working in other localities in the IT field back to Hue to work with certain incentives.
