Economic empowerment for women in the 4th Industrial Revolution

HNN.VN - In the framework of APEC Policy Partnership on Women and the Economy (PPWE 2) second meeting, the “Smart technology and APEC Women’s Economic Empowerment in the 4th Industrial Revolution” forum was organized and presided by Asia Pacific Women’s Information Network Center (APWINC) from Sookmyung Women’s University (SMU), Republic of Korea on September 28 in Hue city.

Speakers share many practical experiences at the forum

The forum attracted the participation of speakers from the economies of Korea, Russia, Australia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan…and other international delegates.

Women’s  role in IT industry in the Age of the 4th Industrial Revolution and APEC women’s economic empowerment in the 4th industrial revolution were the key contents at the forum.

In addition, speakers also shared their best practices and success stories of women entrepreneurs in ICT/Smart technology-based industries in APEC countries; as well as discussed and put forward their recommendations.

Ms. Dang Thi Thanh Van, founder and CEO of Savvycom Software of Vietnam also shared her own experiences and lessons supporting women to develop their skills in the 4th industrial revolution.
