Responding to World No Tobacco Day

HNN.VN - On the morning of May 31, the provincial Steering Committee of prevention and control of tobacco harms organized a meeting to respond to World No Tobacco Day (May 31) with the theme "Tobacco and lung diseases" at the Central Culture House in Quang Dien district. Attending the meeting was Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Dung.

In response to the World No Tobacco Day 2019, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the provincial Steering Committee of prevention and control of tobacco harms urged provincial and district agencies and departments to strengthen the implementation of extensive propaganda campaigns on prevention and control of tobacco harms to all staffs, officials and people; enhance enforcing smoke-free environment regulations...

Vice Chairman Nguyen Dung also called on the whole community to take timely and effective actions to reduce the risk of diseases and mortality from tobacco-related lung diseases.

After the meeting, more than 100 union members, youth and local officials participated in the parade on the central roads of Quang Dien district, conveying the messages include "Tobacco and lung diseases", "Prevent and eliminate tobacco from the community", "For a green and smoke-free environment",... to the community.
