Nearly 7,000 people in red and yellow star shirts respond to the “Together Vietnam moves forward” event

HNN.VN - “Together Vietnam moves forward - One billion steps into a new era” took place simultaneously in 34 provinces, cities, 3,321 communes, wards, and special administrative zones across Vietnam on the morning of August 16.

During the national flag-raising ceremony in Hanoi, along with people in 33 provinces and cities nationwide, nearly 7,000 delegates, officials, soldiers of the armed forces, civil servants, public employees, youth, students, and people of Hue City, wearing red and yellow star shirts, solemnly performed the flag-raising ceremony and sang the national anthem in the Nghinh Luong Dinh area, responded to the “Together Vietnam moves forward - One billion steps into a new era”.

“Together Vietnam moves forward - One billion steps into a new era” is a program with a strong symbolic meaning for the spirit of responsibility and unwavering faith in the country's future. This is a special event towards the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), and the Traditional Day of the Vietnam People's Public Security Force (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025).

In Hue City, the program was jointly organized by the Ministry of Public Security, Nhan Dan Newspaper, and Hue City People's Committee. The route was: Nghinh Luong Dinh - Le Duan St., - Ngan Gate - Doan Thi Diem St., - Dang Thai Than St., - Le Huan St., - 23/8 Street - Quang Duc Gate - Le Duan St., - Nghinh Luong Dinh. Participants in the event included: Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh; Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Phan Quy Phuong; and Deputy Head of the City National Assembly Delegation Nguyen Thi Suu.

“Together Vietnam moves forward - One billion steps into a new era” is not just a simple community physical activity, but also a collective action with profound political and social significance, showing the determination of the entire nation to overcome difficulties together, maintaining health, strengthening solidarity, and moving towards sustainable development and strong integration in the new era.

Through the event, Hue City contributed to building the habit of walking to reduce carbon emissions; practically responded to the campaign “All people doing exercise, following the example of great Uncle Ho”, and the movement “Being healthy to build and protect the fatherland”; and affirmed the readiness to join the country in a new era of development with a new stature and a new spirit.

With this spirit, momentum, and aspiration for renewal, the event is a starting point for concrete, practical actions in building a healthy living environment, improving physical and mental health, promoting legal awareness, crime prevention, and building the movement of all people protecting national security, continuing to maintain faith, solidarity, and competing to achieve results for a peaceful, prosperous, and comprehensively developing Vietnam in the new era.
