Nearly 300 young athletes nationwide compete in Pickleball Tournament in Hue

HNN.VN - The 2025 National Youth Age Group Pickleball Championship kicked off on the morning of August 9th at the Pickleball courts of Hue College of Industry. This tournament is part of the national competition system.

The event brings together nearly 300 male and female athletes from 15 provinces, cities, and sectors nationwide, including: Bac Ninh, People’s Public Security, Quang Tri, Quang Ninh, Dong Thap, Khanh Hoa, Lang Son, Thanh Hoa, Vinh Long, Thai Nguyen, Ho Chi Minh City, Ha Noi, Da Nang, Hai Phong, and Hue.

At the tournament, athletes compete in men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles, across the U11, U13, U15, U17, and U19 age groups.

According to Deputy Director of the City’s Department of Culture and Sports, Bui Thanh Dung, the tournament aims to encourage localities and sectors to develop Pickleball activities and build athlete bases across the country, thereby identifying talented players for the future National Youth Team.

The tournament will end on August 10th.
