In addition, projects of the ministerial level and provincial level continued to rise by 15%.

The above figure is only part of the positive signs. In 2019, the Ministry of Education and Training announced the international publications in journals indexed with ISI, SCI, and SCIE from its affiliate institutions. Expectation to contribute to the home province

The development of Hue University is closely connected with the development of Thua Thien Hue. It has contributed more motivations for the home province to break through and rise in the new situation. The Resolution of the 15th Congress of the provincial Party Committee identified many key tasks, two of which are to develop Hue University into a high-quality multidisciplinary education and training center and establish a Science and Technology Center in Central Vietnam and the whole country.

These difficult tasks do not exceed the expectations of Hue University. According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Linh, the President of Hue University, they have completed the proposal to upgrade Hue University into the national university and will submit to the government for review. Hue University, in reality, has satisfied the requirements to become a national university.

This is a mutual development because the growth of Hue University certainly empowers Thua Thien Hue in the context that the province is striving to become a municipality with its own cultural and ecological identity. Hue University will contribute to turning the province into a big center of the central region and the whole country in regard to culture, tourism, intensive healthcare, science and technology, and high-quality multidisciplinary education and training.

In 2019, Hue University had 140 fields of studies and had certain advantages in science and technology to contribute to the development of the province. More importantly, Hue University has 12 strong research groups to carry out large-scale research projects. In addition, with new strategies in science and technology, scientists have been ready for more research and international publications in order to improve the ranking for Hue University.

According to the representative of the Department of Science, Technology and International Cooperation, Hue University is improving to meet certain requiring criteria for better ranking. By means of appropriate measures, especially the policy for talent awards for authors of international publications, there will be more achievements in the near future.

New training institutions have been established within the system of Hue University. These institutions offer courses satisfying the requirements of the digital era, such as IT, AI, robot, electrics, electronics and social studies well-fitted the 4.0 industry. Obviously, there are prospects of the development of prestigious Hue University in 2020 and the coming years.
