Various ways to support

In the past few days, teachers and students of Hue Tourism College have prepared hundreds of meals to support people undergoing medical isolation in the city. This is the "Meal of Love" program launched by the school's Board of Directors which received the support of funds and efforts from a large number of staff and students in the school.

To prepare nutritious meals, with proper food safety and hygiene, the school has called for the support from more than 50 members who are Trade Union officials and the Youth Union and students of the school. Food is carefully selected from buying, preparing, processing and storing food samples. The cooking process is done right in the practical kitchen area of the school.

Tien Anh, a student of Hue Tourism College, shared that with the ability of a student like him, he would not be able to contribute much money to the fight against the pandemic. But he had the strength. He was studying cooking, so when his teachers announced that they would be participating in the meal preparation process, he and his friends signed up right away.

Mr. Vu Hoai Phuong, Rector of Hue Tourism College, said that the school was continuing to call for individuals and units inside and outside the school to support in the prevention and control of the pandemic. Depending on funding and resources, such as rice, cooking oil, dried food, etc., the school will organize appropriate programs and activities. The staff and students were always ready to volunteer when needed.

To show gratitude and encouragement to the team of doctors, nurses and students of Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy who have just finished their work participating in the prevention and control of COVID-19 in Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces now having their isolation and medical monitor at Dien Bien Hotel, the Department of Tourism has called for tourism businesses, unions and associations in the industry to hold some activities that were minor but meaningful.

The most delicate Hue meals, along with a dessert named pomelo sweet soup prepared by the management team and staff of Chan restaurant, Ngoc Che Buoi, were brought to the hotel on time. In the afternoon, dishes such as Hue cakes and some Hue-style dishes are also served free of charge, enriching the medical team's meals.

The contribution to the fight against the pandemic

Recently, BRG Group has supported Thua Thien Hue with 1,000 SARS-CoV-2 qualitative kits and 5,900 7-sets of personal protective equipment. The supported value is equivalent to 1 billion VND.

A representative of BRG Group in Hue assessed that, compared to many other localities, Hue is still safe thanks to the correct and timely decisions of the province and the participation of the medical staff in prevention the pandemic.

The owner of Chan restaurant confirmed that there were no tourists in this period, and the restaurant faced many difficulties. However, compared to the danger and hardship of the frontline medical staff, who are protecting the peace and safety of the people, this contribution is not much. Therefore, the restaurant continued to call on relatives and friends for fundraising to coordinate with the Department of Tourism in the next donation times.

Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc, Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism emphasized that there were people who contributed their strenghth, and businesses that contribute means, even though all are facing difficulties. This is the respectable spirit of those who were working in the field of tourism.

At a recent meeting to receive contributions from organizations and individuals in the field of tourism, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Quy Phuong emphasized that thousands of people were in medical isolation in our province. The whole province must call for thousands of officers and soldiers, along with the participation of thousands of people, women, young people ...in localities in the fight against the pandemic.

In order to overcome the pandemic, we need greater resources. All contributions are important at this time, so the province is in dire need of the companionship of businesses and individuals in general and the tourism industry in particular in the coming time.
