On the occasion of the Christmas 2025 and the upcoming New Year 2026, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung offered his best wishes to the clergy, religious workers, and the entire Catholic community of Hue Archdiocese, wishing them a peaceful and happy Christmas, as well as a New Year filled with serenity, joy, and success.

The Deputy Prime Minister shared that 2025 has been a special year marked by numerous difficulties and challenges as complex and unusual natural disasters, including typhoons and floods, heavily impacted the lives of People nationwide, particularly in the Central region. However, under the leadership of the Party and State, the country achieved many positive results, creating an important foundation for development.

Regarding socio-economic development, several key indicators met or exceeded targets: gross domestic product (GDP) increased by over 8%; import and export turnover continued to grow; the number of visitors exceeded 18 million; and foreign direct investment (FDI) reached over USD 13 billion.

On the diplomatic front, Vietnam’s international prestige and position have continued to rise. Notably, the relations between Vietnam and the Vatican have seen new development, expanding cooperation and strengthening mutual understanding.

The Deputy Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to the Catholic community nationwide in general, and in Hue in particular, for always accompanying localities and the country, actively responding to the guidelines and policies of the Party and State, and effectively participating in patriotic emulation movements; and acknowledged and highly appreciated the practical contributions of Hue Archdiocese.

Expressing his gratitude for the concern, visit, and greetings by the Party and State leaders, Archbishop Dang Duc Ngan affirmed that this is a great source of encouragement for the clergy, religious workers, and the Catholic community. He expressed confidence that, with the collective efforts of the whole society, positive values will continue to be nurtured, contributing to building a Vietnam that is increasingly strong, prosperous, civilized, and sustainably developed.
