HNN.VN - In response to the severe damage caused by prolonged flooding from October 27 to 30, 2025, which deeply inundated many areas and seriously affected the lives of thousands of workers in Hue City, numerous businesses across the area have promptly implemented support measures to help employees stabilize their lives as soon as possible.

Workers at Scavi Hue

At B’Lao – Scavi Group, the Executive Board sent a letter of encouragement to all members of Scavi Hue, Scavi Quang Dien, and B’Lao Sport, expressing their deep sympathy for the losses and hardships caused by the natural disaster. Preliminary statistics show that nearly 5,700 workers’ families had their homes flooded by more than 0.5 meters, including over 1,600 homes submerged deeper than 1.5 meters.

With the spirit of “Responsibility and Sharing”, the Group decided to advance 70% of employees’ basic October salaries, paid out immediately on October 31. At the same time, it coordinated with the Trade Union to provide financial support of 500,000 VND to each worker whose home was flooded by 0.5 meters or more, transferring the amount directly to their bank accounts. Moreover, the company is conducting assessments to introduce further special support policies for severely affected employees, while also studying long-term solutions related to housing stability, asset insurance, and safe working conditions during natural disasters.

In the same spirit of solidarity and mutual support, Hue Textile and Garment Joint Stock Company (HUEGATEX) also decided to provide financial assistance of 1,000,000 VND per employee for those who signed labor contracts before September 2025, and 300,000 VND per employee for those who signed labor contracts in October 2025. The payments were scheduled for October 31, 2025.

These prompt and practical support measures from businesses not only help workers overcome immediate difficulties but also reflect the social responsibility and humanitarian solidarity of Hue’s business community in the face of natural disasters, contributing to affirming public trust and spreading the message that “no one is left behind”.

To soon bring back a “green - clean - bright” Hue

“Dear everyone! Let's join hands to make Hue clean and beautiful again soon!” - I paused for a long moment in front of that message - a message sent out by HEPCO (Hue Urban Environment and Public Works Joint Stock Company) just as the floodwaters in Hue slowly, little by little, receded, revealing massive amounts of trash and damaged items submerged in the murky water.
