The seminar was co-organized by the University of Arts, Hue University and various units on the afternoon of March 26.

At the seminar, numerous opinions and presentations focused on the value and appreciation of Vietnamese lacquer painting. Beyond providing an overview of the history of lacquer  art, experts also offered in-depth analyses of the potential and future trends of Vietnamese lacquer…

According to the leader of the University of Arts, Hue University, the seminar contributes to promoting scientific research on new materials applied in fine arts, as well as projects for the development of cultural industry.

As part of the program, on the morning of the same day, at the University of Arts, Hue University, a lacquer art creation competition themed “Colors of Vietnamese flowers - Inspiring creativity” attracted a large number of lecturers, students, and artists.

The competition aimed to honor the traditional beauty of lacquer art in combination with calligraphy art and royal court motifs. It also sought to leverage the sophisticated technical strengths of artisans, art students, and art enthusiasts in Hue Ancient Capital, while creating a collection of high-value cultural artifacts, with the goal of documenting and publishing art books…
