This exhibition is the result of an art trip that took place in March 2023, with the participation of nearly 50 members from the Urban Sketchers Group in Hanoi and local artists from Hue.

The shack was reconstructed according to the prototype from General Nguyen Chi Thanh’s working shack at the Central Office for South Vietnam (COSVN).

This is an activity with the aims to pay tribute to ancestors, and honor the traditional beauty of Hue Ao dai; this is also an opportunity to promote the image of Hue ao dai in particular and Ao dai Vietnam in general...

According to the organizing committee, this is a fascinating activity to arouse children’s passion and creativity, thereby, spreading reading culture and sharing the love of country, homeland, as well as the love for Ao dai.

Mr. Hoang Viet Trung, Director of Hue Monuments Conservation Center, said that at present, the need for investment in the restoration and conservation of heritage is huge.

Through the language of visual art, intangible cultural heritages such as royal court music, court dances, royal tuong, and Hue-Singing are transformed into aesthetically valuable works.

After Hanoi and Hoi An, the art exhibition “Niem Hoa” arrives in Hue. The name Niem Hoa is from the story Niem Hoa Vi Tieu about the birth of Zen in Buddhism.

According to the organizing committee of Hue Festival 2023, from July to September, there will be around 18 main programs and activities and 23 response activities.
