On the morning of December 15, many researchers, culturalists and book lovers attended the launching ceremony of the book "Hinduist statues: From Cham temples to Vietnamese religious establishments", organized at Lieu Quan Buddhist Cultural Center (15 Le Loi, Hue city) by the Vietnam National Institute of Culture and Art Studies in Hue.

Despite working as an Information Technology (IT) specialist, Mr. Phan Anh Dzung (born in 1958) has deep affinity with Han-Nom (Sino-Vietnamese hieroglyphics), and thus he has developed useful software, contributing to the conservation and development of Nom scripts heritage and bringing the ancient hieroglyphics into present-day being.

Young people are having the opportunity to experience and make Truc Chi at "The Journey of Truc Chi" workshop, taking place from December 9-16.

On the afternoon of December 10, Department of Culture and Sports in collaboration with University of Arts - Hue University opened the “Meeting” exhibition at Le Ba Dang Art Museum.

On the afternoon of December 8, Union of Arts and Literature Associations, Association of Fine Arts of Thua Thien Hue province in cooperation with Vietnam Fine Arts Association in Hue and University of Arts, Hue University opened a fine art exhibition on the occasion of Vietnam Fine Arts Day (December 10).

At 15:10 on December 7, 2017 (Vietnam time), at the twelfth session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage taking place in Jeju Island, Republic of Korea, the art of Bai Choi in Central Vietnam was officially added to the Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

If the capital's public welcomes the Cultural Heritage Day of Vietnam (23/11) with the space of the past examinations, with the traditional male áo dài and the sound of ca trù, chèo, then Hue promises to tell the equally attractive story of the beauty of architecture and art of An Dinh Palace. This palace of King Khai Dinh bears the stamp of Western civilization and the hidden soul of Vietnamese culture.

"Our Hue people are so precious, as precious as agarwood," my friend exclaimed after contemplating Boi Tran's paintings on display in her garden.

At the 2017 Fine Arts Camp at Da Nang Museum of Fine Arts on October 11th-25th, 2017, there are 3 artists from Hue. They are Nguyen Duy Linh, Dang Mau Triet and Le Van Nhuong. Seven of their artworks were selected for display among 28 works by 14 painters from all over the country.

They are skilled artists. Their names are not only known nationwide as prominent artists, but also as prestigious teachers.

First established and identified in Hue more than 5 years ago, Trucchi has spread into the community and contributed to the Vietnamese field of art with a new art form called trucchigraphy.

"Conservation and promotion of world cultural heritages’ values" was the theme of the workshop co-organized by Hue city and South Korean city of Gyeongju on November 14.
