Last month the Facebook community raised a startling question "What does the word "mụ" mean in Hue dialect? Gosh! Everybody enjoys Hue dialect but there are words that only Hue natives can understand.

For the celebration of the Vietnamese Family Day (June 28), Hue Cultural Museum opened an exhibition with the theme “The taste of Hue's cakes”.

The gallery “Back to the Perfume River" conveyed the big messages with the gathering of the names that have left great impression on the public.

Hue formerly had a wide variety of “De” rice. According to the folk memory, they are the long-cycle indigenous summer paddy varieties. In particular, An Cuu’s “De” Rice, a fragrant paddy variety, is honorably named “hương canh” (fragrant farm product).

After nearly five years since university graduation, my close friend, who is now working in Hanoi, had a chance to go back to visit Hue. She came back to solve her work, but also to "solve" her accumulated nostalgia for Hue and for the foods we two students enjoyed at the time.

The exhibition is an opportunity to address and re-examine issues related to the study of traditional cultural heritages in general and the Buddhist cultural heritage in particular.

On the evening of May 21, series of "The Muse of Hue" (Nang tho xu Hue) introducing the beauty of culture, cuisine, tourism and lifestyle of Hue people was officially launched to the public at BHD Star Hue, Vincom trading center.
