Inaugurating a library with a capacity of 10,000 students

The Library of the University of Economics, Hue University has Hue University as the project owner, with a total estimated budget of over 48 billion VND from the State budget and Hue University’s legally supplemented funds. The construction began in November 2023 and completed in November 2024, with a lifespan of 50 years. This is one of the five projects and constructions under the Ministry of Education and Training, and is located in Hue City. Together with other projects and constructions, this is a part of the works constructed and inaugurated nationwide on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South.

This construction is located in the planned area of Hue University at Truong Bia. It is a newly-constructed 5-floor building with an area of 999 m² and a total floor area of 4,809 m². The first floor is constructed with the exhibition space, functional areas, administrative offices, and a bookstore. Meanwhile, the second, third, and fourth floors include the library, lab rooms, and storage; the fifth floor is the space of the seminar room and the auditorium. The building is also equipped with a comprehensive system including fire prevention and fighting, ventilation, air conditioners, and telecommunication.

After being handed over, in 2025, the University of Economics, Hue University keeps on completing the interior, equipment, and e-library to meet the demands of studying and researching of nearly 10,000 students of the university.
