Hue Fine Arts Museum receives a collection of folk paintings

TTH.VN - Hue Fine Arts Museum has just received a collection of precious artifacts related to traditional folk art from Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hoa, a collector and researcher, and Mr. Nam Chi, a folk painting artist.

This information has just been announced by Ms. Dinh Thi Hoai Trai, Director of Hue Fine Arts Museum on August 14. The reception took place at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum in Hanoi.

Accordingly, the collection includes hundreds of precious artifacts related to traditional folk art, with the number up to more than hundreds of paintings and wood-blocks, including large-scale paintings, Kim Hoang paintings, Dong Ho paintings, Do the Nam bo paintings, ... together with many wood-blocks. Among them, there are many works of high aesthetic value such as: fighting-cock, pig, Nghe, Kieu paintings, etc.

“After receiving the artifacts, the museum will study, preserve and effectively promote the cultural value of this unique collection of folk paintings,” said Ms.Trai.
