HNN.VN - Many images of Ao dai Hue and Hue ancient capital’s relics are being displayed by Kao Kuong, a Hue-born photographer (whose real name is Nguyen Cao Cuong) in a photo exhibition themed "The Ao dai which I love". The exhibition displays 70 photos of the Ao dai, taken by Kao Kuong over the past five years across the country, mainly in Hue City and Ho Chi Minh City, in many genres such as portraits, and photos in daily life and landscapes, etc.

According to the photographer, the exhibition aims to honor the beauty of Ao dai, the beauty of Vietnamese women wearing the Ao dai Vietnam, which he wants to give to them on the occasion of celebrating the International Women's Day (March 8).

With nearly 30 years of holding  camera, and taking most topics including reportages, portraits, advertising photos, and wedding photos, etc., nevertheless, for this photographer, every time when he takes photos of women in Ao dai, he is always excited with an indescribable passion.

"While it is the same Ao dai, there are many different styles. When the photos were taken in Hanoi, there must be something a bit nostalgic. When it comes to Hue, the photos are highlighted with the vagueness and excitement in the scene of Truong Tien Bridge and Thien Mu Pagoda, or on the banks of the Huong River. When being taken in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City), the Ao dai photos must be active with the modern Ao dai...,” said Kao Kuong, the photographer.

The exhibition lasts until March 9. After that, the photographer will give the whole photos to the characters and models being in the photos, so as to express the gratitude to those who wear the beauty of Ao dai Vietnam.

The appearance of the traditional ao dai for both men and women at cultural and educational events made the ceremonies more solemn, elegant, and impressive.
