| Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee Hoang Hai Minh inspected the Phong Dien - Dien Loc rescue and relief road |
On the afternoon of May 12, Vice Chairman Hoang Hai Minh conducted an on-site inspection of the progress of site clearance and construction of traffic projects within Hue City. These included the Phong Dien - Dien Loc rescue and relief road, the coastal road combined with the bridge across Thuan An estuary, and a number of traffic routes in Hue City.
The Phong Dien - Dien Loc rescue and relief road is over 16.2 kilometers long, starting at its intersection with the National Highway 1A in Phong Thu ward (Phong Dien town) and ending at the Dien Loc beach area (Phong Phu ward - Phong Dien town). The project, approved in 2010, has a total investment of over 770 billion VND, and is managed by Hue City Transportation Construction Investment Project Management Board.
Currently, the project is being actively implemented. Notably, the section from Km1+500 to Km9+800, along with the Thiem and Bau Bang bridges, has been completed and put into operation. The section from Km9+800 to Km14+500 and the intersection with the National Highway 49B have basically completed the subgrade and the cement concrete road surface with a width of 15 meters. For the railway overpass, one of the key components of the project, the right unit has been completed. The bridge is 66.3 meters long, consisting of two units, with 15.5 meters wide each (totaling 31 meters). The remaining unit is currently under construction of the bridge deck.
Following the on-site inspection, Mr. Hoang Hai Minh requested the investor and construction units to focus on accelerating the progress, maximizing resources, machinery, equipment, and manpower to complete the remaining items as soon as possible, striving to ensure the route is open in 2025 according to the set plan.
For the sections of the route that have been completed and put into operation, the investor and construction contractor must ensure smooth traffic flow, avoiding waste, and impact on the legitimate travel needs of the people. Mr. Hoang Hai Minh also requested the Hue City Transportation Construction Investment Project Management Board to strengthen on-site inspection and supervision, promptly urging contractors to adhere to the schedule, ensuring quality and labor safety during project implementation.
